1. Operator
These Terms of Service apply to all orders placed through michiko-shida.com, operated by:

2. Scope
These terms apply to all contracts concluded between Michiko Shida and consumers via this online store. A consumer is any natural person who places an order for purposes that are primarily outside their trade, business or profession.

3. Ordering Process
By clicking "Buy now" / "Order with obligation to pay", you submit a binding offer to purchase the selected items. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. We reserve the right to decline orders.

4. Prices
All prices shown are in Euro and include German VAT (Mehrwertsteuer) at the applicable rate. The total price including shipping is shown at checkout before you confirm your order.

5. Payment
We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit and debit card via Shopify Payments (Stripe)
  • PayPal

Payment is due immediately upon placing your order.

6. Shipping

We ship to Germany and most EU member states. Delivery within Germany is free of charge. For deliveries to other EU countries, shipping costs apply and are displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.

We aim to dispatch your order within 1–2 business days. Delivery typically takes:

  • Germany: up to 7 business days
  • Other EU countries: up to 14 business days

In exceptional circumstances, delivery may take longer. We will notify you promptly in such cases.

7. Retention of Title
Goods remain our property until full payment has been received.

8. Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy below for full details.

9. Warranty
We are liable for material defects in accordance with applicable statutory provisions. The limitation period for warranty claims is 2 years from delivery of the goods.

10. Liability
We are fully liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health, and for intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty. For minor negligence, our liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. We are not liable for the failure of third-party services (e.g. payment providers, shipping carriers) beyond our control.

11. Applicable Law
These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer residing in another EU member state, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply in addition and shall not be overridden by these terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

We are not obliged or willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
